- Location Data: Approximate location (latitude/longitude) when you use location-based features such as finding nearby service providers.
- Communication Data: Messages sent through the platform, complaint submissions, and support inquiries.
- Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, and interactions within the Platform.
3. How We Collect Information
We collect information:
- Directly from you: When you register an account, create a society, post a complaint, generate bills, list services, or contact support.
- Automatically: Through cookies, analytics tools, and server logs when you use the Platform.
- From your device: Push notification permissions and camera/photo library access (only with your explicit consent for profile photos or complaint evidence).
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- To create and manage your account and society.
- To send push notifications about bill reminders, announcements, complaints, and community updates.
- To connect you with service providers based on your location.
- To process and respond to your complaints and support requests.
- To generate and manage society bills and payments.
- To improve the Platform and develop new features.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
5. Push Notifications
With your consent, we send push notifications for important updates including bill generation, payment reminders, complaint status changes, announcements from your society admin, and service provider inquiries. You can manage notification preferences in your device settings at any time. Opting out of notifications may cause you to miss important updates about your society.
6. Email and Phone Number Usage
Your email address is used for account-related communications such as password resets and important service updates. Your phone number is used for account verification, OTP-based authentication, and as a primary contact identifier. We do not share your phone number or email with third parties for marketing purposes.
7. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
- Within your society: Your name and flat number are visible to other residents and the society admin for community management purposes.
- With service providers: When you contact a service provider, your name and contact details are shared to facilitate the service request.
- Service providers: If you register as a service provider, your business name, phone, and description are published on the Platform.
- Legal compliance: When required by law, court order, or government regulation.
- Third-party services: We use Razorpay for payment processing. Payment transactions are handled directly by Razorpay under their privacy policy. We do not store full payment card details.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
8. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.
9. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including encryption of passwords using bcrypt, HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, and restricted access to personal data on a need-to-know basis. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

- Delete your account and associated data directly from Settings → Delete Account. Your profile will be anonymized and data will be removed within 30 days.
- Request deletion by emailing support@myapartmentapp.in.
- Opt out of push notifications through device settings.
- Withdraw consent for data collection where applicable.
11. Children's Privacy
Our Platform is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, we will delete it promptly.
